Automattic for Agencies tiers reward and support agencies based on their engagement with Automattic products. As you use our products, you generate Influenced Automattic Revenue (IAR). As you generate more IAR, you progress through tiers and unlock additional benefits. Our tiering system is designed to be inclusive, recognizing contributions regardless of which Automattic products you specialize in. In this guide, you will learn about each tier, its requirements, and the benefits you unlock as you progress.
When you reach a new tier, you keep that tier through the end of the following calendar year. At the start of each year, your tier is re-evaluated based on the revenue you generated in the previous year.
For example, if you reach Pro Partner at any point in 2026, you remain at Pro Partner through December 31, 2027, even if you do not generate additional revenue during that time. At the end of 2027, your tier may adjust up or down based on your 2027 results.
To keep your tier, you must continue to meet all eligibility requirements. Any grace period related to these requirements is provided at Automattic’s sole discretion.
Influenced Automattic Revenue (IAR) is the total revenue generated through Automattic products over one year through your agency’s direct influence. This includes confirmed client purchases and bulk agency purchases made within the Automattic for Agencies portal or tracked via the Automattic for Agencies plugin.
IAR is calculated as follows:
- Product purchases and referrals: Each dollar spent counts as one dollar of IAR.
- WooPayments referrals: $1 of IAR is recognized for every $100 in Total Payments Volume (TPV).
Eligibility: Free to join with no minimum revenue requirements.
Requirements: Refer or purchase at least one Automattic product or bulk package each year to remain active.

Eligibility: Generate at least $5,000 in annual IAR.
Requirements:

- Free agency site on WordPress.com or Pressable
- Development leads distributed by Partner Managers
- Priority support
- Assigned Partner Manager
- Access to program advisory board for strategic insights
- Co-marketing opportunities
Eligibility: Generate at least $100,000 in annual IAR. Entry is by invitation only.
Requirements:
- Earn a listing in at least one Automattic agency directory (Pressable, WooCommerce, Jetpack, WordPress.com, or WordPress VIP).
- Maintain outstanding client feedback.
Benefits:
Everything in Pro Partner, plus:
- Annual credit for WooCommerce and Jetpack extensions
- Higher earnings on VIP referrals
Eligibility: Generate at least $250,000 in annual IAR. Entry is by invitation only.
Requirements:
- Earn a listing in at least one Automattic agency directory (Pressable, WooCommerce, Jetpack, WordPress.com, or WordPress VIP).
- Maintain outstanding client feedback.
- Maintain three or more live enterprise-scale projects in the WordPress ecosystem, or three shared anchor customers.
- Certify at least 30% of developers across Automattic certifications.
