Move existing WordPress.com and Pressable hosting plans into Automattic for Agencies billing

Last reviewed on April 3, 2026

In this Guide

The Automattic for Agencies billing system is independent from WordPress.com and Pressable billing, and includes benefits such as bulk discounts and premium plugins at no additional cost. If you have existing WordPress.com or Pressable plans purchased outside of Automattic for Agencies, you can request to move them into the Automattic for Agencies billing system to consolidate your billing and unlock these benefits.

In this guide, you will learn how to move existing plans into Automattic for Agencies billing, how billing works once a plan is moved, and how to add your sites to the Sites Dashboard.

📌

For WordPress.com plans, we can only move Business plan sites into Automattic for Agencies billing. If you have sites on other plans, contact our support team — we can work with you to upgrade and move those sites.

To move an existing WordPress.com or Pressable plan into Automattic for Agencies billing, contact our support team from within the Automattic for Agencies portal:

  1. Open the support form.
  2. Include the URLs of the sites you want to move.
  3. Submit the form. Our support team will handle the migration.

When your plan is moved into Automattic for Agencies billing, the following applies:

  • Your current expiration date is preserved. Your plan remains valid until its existing expiration date, so you do not lose any value from your existing subscription.
  • Your migrated plan counts toward bulk discounts immediately. As soon as a plan is moved, it is included in your total site count for bulk discount calculations. Any new sites you add will benefit from this straight away.
  • When your plan reaches its expiration date, billing transfers to Automattic for Agencies. At that point, you will be charged upfront for your first billing period — either one month or one full year, depending on your current plan type.

📌

Once a plan is moved, you can view its expiration date — the date at which Automattic for Agencies billing begins — under PurchasesLicenses in your dashboard. This date only appears for plans migrated from WordPress.com or Pressable billing. Plans purchased directly through Automattic for Agencies do not have an expiration date, as they renew monthly and can be revoked at any time.

If you have a WordPress.com or Pressable plan with an expiration date of September 15, 2025 and you move it into Automattic for Agencies billing:

  • Your plan remains valid until September 15, 2025.
  • Any new sites you add to Automattic for Agencies immediately benefit from bulk discount calculations that include this site.
  • On September 15, 2025, billing transfers to Automattic for Agencies and you are charged upfront for your first billing period based on your plan type.

Once your plans are moved, add your sites to the Sites Dashboard:
