The Referrals Dashboard in the Automattic for Agencies portal gives you a breakdown of your referral commission earnings across all clients. You can view total payouts, estimated earnings for the current quarter, pending referral orders, and per-client commission data.
In this guide, you will learn how to navigate the Referrals Dashboard, understand the commission summary cards, review per-client earnings, and download commission reports.
- Log in to the Automattic for Agencies portal.
- Navigate to Referrals → Dashboard from the sidebar.

At the top of the Referrals Dashboard, three summary cards display your overall referral commission data:
- All time referral payouts: The total amount of referral commission your agency has been paid to date. If your agency has received at least one payout, a “Download CSV” link appears below the total. This CSV contains your commission data across all clients that have been paid out.
- Estimated earnings in current quarter: The estimated commission your agency has earned during the current payout period. This figure updates as your clients make purchases and reflects earnings from the start of the current quarter up to today.
- Pending referral orders: The number of clients who have been sent a referral but have not yet completed their purchase.
To view details about the current payout period, click the ℹ️ icon next to Estimated earnings in current quarter. The popover displays:
- Payout range: The start and end dates of the current commission period.
- Earnings shown up to: The date through which the estimated earnings are calculated.
- Payout date: The date your commission for this period will be paid, after a 60-day waiting period.

Below the summary cards, the client list table displays referral data for each client. Referrals are grouped by client email address — all referrals sent to the same client appear as a single row regardless of how many individual referrals were sent.

The table includes the following columns:
- Client: The email address of the referred client.
- Purchases: The number of products the client has purchased through your referrals.
- Pending Orders: The number of referred products the client has not yet purchased.
- Estimated Commissions: The estimated commission earned from this client’s purchases.
- Subscription Status: The current status of the client’s referrals (see below).
- Actions: Hover over a row to reveal “View Details”, which when clicked opens a detailed breakdown of the individual products referred to the client. Each referred product appears as its own line item, regardless of whether the products were sent in a single referral or across multiple referrals.
Each client row displays a subscription status that reflects the state of their referrals:
- Pending: The client has been sent a referral but has not completed a purchase.
- Active: The client has completed at least one purchase through your referral. A client may have multiple active purchases made at different times.
- Mixed: The client has referrals in more than one status. For example, one product may be active while another is pending or archived. Hover over the “Mixed” badge to see a breakdown of how many referrals are in each status.
- Archived: The referral has been archived by your agency.
