When a client stops working with an agency, it’s possible that licenses will need to be transferred from agency ownership to direct ownership by the client.
For all transfers of licenses associated with hosting client sites at WordPress.com or Pressable, please contact our support team using our support form. Please include the URL of the site, and whether the client intends to continue hosting it with WordPress.com or Pressable, or if they intend to move the site to another host.
For both agency purchased and client referral purchased licenses, ownership can be moved to the client by revoking the current license from Automattic for Agencies. The client can then purchase a new license from the WooCommerce.com Marketplace and choose to use it on their site.
Please note: for referral purchases, the client does own the license. If they wish, they can continue to pay the cost through Automattic for Agencies and the agency will continue to receive revenue share.
