As your agency grows, you can purchase additional WordPress.com site licenses at any time. Adding sites may qualify you for a lower per-site price tier, and a prorated credit is applied at checkout for your existing sites.
In this guide, you will learn how to add WordPress.com sites, how volume discounts apply, and how proration credits work.
Follow these steps to purchase additional WordPress.com site licenses:
- Navigate to Marketplace → Hosting on your Automattic for Agencies dashboard.
- Select the Standard Agency Hosting tab where you will see your existing purchases.
- Choose the number of additional site licenses you want to purchase.

- Click “Add Site(s) to Cart”.
- Click the cart icon in the top right of the screen to go to checkout.
- Review the checkout summary. If your new total number of sites qualifies you for a lower price tier, a prorated credit for your existing sites is applied as a discount.

- Complete the purchase.
The price per site decreases as you add more sites to your account, reaching the maximum discount at 10 sites. The discounted price continues for any additional sites beyond 10. Discounts apply whether you purchase one license at a time or multiple licenses at once.
When you add a site that moves you into a lower price tier, Automattic for Agencies calculates a prorated credit based on the price difference and the remaining time on each of your existing site subscriptions. This credit is applied at checkout, reducing the cost of the new site.
For current per-site pricing at each tier, visit the program incentives page.
Proration credits are calculated separately for each billing term:
- Same billing term: If your existing sites and the new site share the same billing term (all monthly or all annual), a proration credit is applied for your existing sites.
- Different billing terms: If your existing sites are on a different billing term than the new site, you receive the lower tier price for the new site but no proration credit is applied for existing sites on the other billing term. For example, if your existing sites are billed monthly and you purchase a new site on an annual term, the new site is priced at the lower tier rate but no credit is applied to your monthly sites.
The pricing tier takes all of your sites into account regardless of billing term. Only the proration credit is limited to sites on the same term.
📌
If your existing sites were purchased at different times, the remaining time on each subscription affects the total proration credit. Sites with more time remaining generate a larger credit.
