As part of the connection to the Automattic for Agencies portal for commissions tracking and display purposes, the Automattic for Agencies plugin syncs your site’s data to WordPress.com servers. Under the hood, we use Jetpack’s Sync functionality to connect the site to WordPress.com (like how Jetpack connects sites), but we don’t sync all of the data that Jetpack would.
Here’s the full list of the data that we sync for Automattic for Agencies:
- Options: To sync specific site options (and constants) that help us identify the changes to the features we power.
- Updates: To sync data about plugin, theme, and core updates and enable updating these from the Automattic for Agencies portal.
- Plugins: To sync plugin data, such as deletions and installations.
- Users: To sync information on the site’s users and any related changes. This will be used for user management in the future. More info about user-related data can be found here.
- Stats: To sync heartbeat data. This is used to power downtime monitoring and the last 7-day stats charts.
Jetpack is committed to complying with GDPR & other global privacy laws. For further help on adding Jetpack specific information to your site’s privacy policy, visit our Jetpack privacy policy helper.
